About

Tomasz Christopher Edwards

I was born in London in 1998. During my early years, I was consumed by my imagination and valued my solitude far above anything so I could exist in my own world undistracted. At the age of 8 I was introduced to my outlet, the piano. Since then, I have enjoyed hours of pure expression and endless explorations into the unknown. In the last year of primary school, I became fascinated by electric guitar. Later, I joined bands and started busking metal hits in Camden Market. It was on the streets of London that I quickly learned how to keep music exciting and an audience engaged. I applied this to my own compositions. At 15, I developed a taste for music of the Romantic era and worked tirelessly on piano technique to perform the pieces I loved. In 2017, I started a music degree in Bangor (North Wales) because the beautiful scenery outweighed the career opportunities in London. I spent my time at university exploring new styles of composition. Many of my works involved processing natural sounds that I collected myself to create unique textures and atmospheres. I won the award for best performance during my university finals. I was also fortunate enough to have met the publisher of Griot Hörbuchverlag who commissioned me to compose background music for their audiobooks. Positive press reviews have resulted in more projects with German clients. One of the audiobooks was even nominated for two prestigious literary awards. Recently, I built a library of works for the Unity Asset Store. This has lead to a number of commissions for video game soundtracks in the USA.
